• In May 2001, the population of Dolny Kubin was 19,948, of which 9,697 were men and 10,251 women.

• 10,207 people (51,2 %) were of a working age, from which 5,132 were men and 5,075women.

• Population according to age was as follows:

- men from 15 to 59 years: 6,598
- women from 15 to 54 years: 6,479
- men above 60: 837
- women above 55: 1,625
